Wine & oil daysPrep 5 minCook 2 minServes 1
When to eat it. Made with oil. Keep it for days when wine and oil are allowed, like weekends in Lent and most of the Nativity Fast.

Ingredients

Method

  1. Toast the bread.
  2. Mix the tahini and honey.
  3. Spread it on the toast.
  4. Top with banana or walnuts and cinnamon.

Tip. Some treat tahini like oil, so it is listed for oil days.

Fasting customs differ between churches and parishes. When in doubt, follow what your priest gives you. Not sure what today allows? Check the Orthodox calendar.
